EARLY TREATMENT
Typical orthodontic treatment starts when a client has all their adult teeth. This means that the treatment generally begins around the age of
11 or 12.
However, treatment may be recommended as early as 7, if a child presents with issues which could eliminate the future need for a comprehensive orthodontic treatment or significantly reduce its complexity.
Examples of orthodontic issues at an early age include:
- oral habits
- early/late loss of baby teeth
- disproportionate facial growth
- obstructed adult tooth
- unaesthetic appearance
